Prescription drugs?

Are Prescription drugs from the US more dangerous than local medicine or others from other countries? Considering the side effects of the prescription drugs versus non-prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs or drugs from other seas seem more safe don't they?

Prescription drugs can be lifesaving and necessary but PLEASE don't believe that they are completely safe & benign. FDA approval for a prescription drug does not mean much. Many FDA officials have financial ties to drug companies. Thus, there is a huge conflict of interest. There is financial pressure to push drugs onto the market as quickly as possible. The use of prescription medicine is the third leading cause of death in the U.S.! A staggerring number of deaths are caused by properly administered prescriptions.

As a whole, medications regulated by the FDA and sold inside the United States are safer than those sold in other countries. The FDA tends to be more strict than their counterparts. This is especially true in third world countries. They simply don't have the resources to effectively find companies that are intentionally or indirectly harming/misleading consumers.

Drugs in other countries are just as safe as those in the USA.

The FDA officials are allowed to accept money from the drug mfg. and have a huge conflict of interest.

Have you noticed how many drugs have been approved, later to have class action law suits filed against them?

Until our goverment gets a handle on the FDA, I'm taking everything with a grain of salt.
