Sleeping Pills?

I get nervous on flights and have a long haul one very soon, i havent got any time to go see a doc, so may get some sleeping pills to chill me out a bit, even if they dont make me sleep just drowsy would be good. Can anyone recommend any good non prescription drugs that would do the job?

Thanks

You talk as if taking sleeping pills is a harmless activity, it isn't and they are rapidly habit forming, even 3 taken over a few days can produce withdrawal, hopefully your GP is good enough that he will refuse to prescribe them anyway. It might not be unreasonable to try a sedative antihistamine like Piriton, these also help travel sickness.

you can always try the herbal tablets Kalms. If you get that nervous though anything short of prescription strength probably wont do the trick.

well i had a hard time sleeping but go to the family dollar and get there brand it work it does 4 me

drink red wine before you get on the plane, that'll do the trick!

Nightol Herbal work well for me, gentle and no "pill hangover" alternatively for something a bit more hardcore try Somminex but they do come with a hangover which takes about an hour to shake off

Valerian Tablets from Boots Superdrug or herbal shops. Take four at once they taste terrible but they do work just like Valium but are not addictive. Just put the four in your mouth and have a big gulp of water. They are OK with alcohol.
