How can i help myself fall asleep at a certain time?

Breathing techniques, ect? Or non-prescription drugs?

I am entering a very serious level of education and I need to be able to fall asleep at 10:00 each night rather than the 1 or 2 AMs i usually do. Is there a non-prescription drug or something or some sort of technique? I can lie in bed for hours and still be awake, however i feel almost dead in the mornings. I have tried cutting out all light - no result. I have tried differnt types of music - no result. my room is airconditioned so temperature is not an issue. Its not my matress, and its not things on my mind. The only thing that has produced SOME results is when it is raining - that helps me get relaxed very fast and it seems to work...Where can i get like rain music or something?

Please help with any ideas you have, this could mean whether i get into college or not.

very easy, here are the quick tips, 100% effective.

(1) if your blood type is B,then, have a cup of milk helps, a lot.
(2) Take a warm shower
(3) Meditate by just being aware of your abdomen rising and falling as they actually occurs ( it can be merely 10 min or even an hour, it is up to you ), while at the same time, completely relax and let go of other duties left undone ( knowing that you will only entertain such thoughts next day when you wake up ). Ability to let go of all disturbing thoughts is an important key to good night sleep. Never drag them to your bed side!

(4) of course, avoid stimulants like coffee or tea.
(5) sleep at specific time - this is called CONDITIONING the mind, so that the mind is well disciplined and will behave in a proper way previously conditioned

(6) Never take a afternoon nap for more than 30 minutes. Better still, avoid
(7) exercise and sweat out at twice a week.

People think it's weird but I sleep with a fan on. The "white noise" helps me fall asleep. Kinda drowns out all the other noises. I also sleep very well when it rains and I think it has something to do with a constant sound.

listen to music, i literaly pass out after like 15 mins of listening to music on my ipod when i go to bed, but then again, everyone is different, just something u might wanna try
