Nicotine patch and body weight?

Okay, so I tried to quit smoking a couple years ago, and I weighed around 110, and found that despite my heavy smoking, the Step One patches (21 mg) made me jittery and sick feeling, so I started with Step 2 instead. I managed to quit for three weeks, but then went to spend a weekend with my college friends (who also smoke) and the whole thing went out the window.

I no longer socialize with any smokers, so I'm wanting to quit. Anyway, I now weigh between 115 and 120, and I'm uncertain as to whether I should start with Step 1 or 2. Does anyone know if body weight should be considered when buying nicotine patches? I mean, the way I see it, 21 mgs is gonna hit me a lot harder than a 200 lb man, right?

So am I overanalyzing this, or should my small size be considered when choosing which dosage to start with?

Start with step 2 again.

If step 1 is too much nicotine for you, it'll do the same thing again next time around.

Good luck on your efforts to quit! It's a hard struggle, but it's worth it!
