Nicotine??????

what is nicotine and some effects of the drug?
and also the withdrawals and dangers of abuse?

*trust me im not taking drugs

Nicotine is an addictive alkaloid found predominately in tobacco plants. Its addictive effects are profound - nicotine addiction is one of the hardest to break.

Physiologically, nicotine causes a short-term increase in blood pressure, heart rate and the flow of blood from the heart. It also causes the arteries to narrow.

The American Heart Association lists the following symtoms of withdrawal:
- irritability
- impatience
- hostility
- anxiety
- depressed mood
- difficulty concentrating
- restlessness
- decreased heart rate
- increased appetite or weight gain

Hope this helps (and glad you're not taking drugs). Best wishes!
