Is Pure Nicotine toxic or non-toxic?

Pure form of nicotine taken through Nicotine gum or patch.

Pure nicotine will kill you as its toxic.

The patch or gum is not pure nicotine.
Nicotine is used as insecticide sometimes.
Pure would be deadly.

Pure nicotine is extremely toxic. However, the nicotine taken through gums or patches are in very small amounts and are offset by other ingredients. If you follow the instructions on the label it won't harm you.

Toxic. in certain dosage fatal.

Nicotine is toxic, but just like all chemicals (chlorine, alcohol, Vitamin C, and even water), if you taken in a large enough dose. However, just like most other chemicals, the dose taken and the length of time it is taken, will determin how toxic it will be to ones body.

Nicotine gum or patch are not good for you, however, if it helps you quit smoking, then the benefits to your health far outweigh any damage those products will do to you. Being on a 12 week program is not any more harmful than smoking for 12 weeks. Both are not good for you, but using any nicotine product for 12 weeks then quitting is not going to have much of a negative impact on your health (unless you already have certain serious health issues to begin with).

If you take those products as directed, and you do not use any other tobacco products, or you don't use too much of it, then you will not see any health issues. If you are using more than directed, then people have been known to have heart attacks.

one drop of 100% nicotine would easily kill you
