Please answer asap , nicotine patches? |
How long after my last smoke can I put on a nicotine patch? I dont want to get sick from too much nicotine in my system. They say to put it on the next morning, but it's 3.30 am here in melbourne, ive just had my last cigeratte but will be going through the day without sleep tonight so I won't have that eight hour break before I put it on, and Im scared in the meantime Im going to light up a cigeratte if I dont have a patch on. Thanks for answering. It's fine. I've done it. You may feel a little jittery for a short while, but it will wear off and you'll be fine. Just try not to smoke at all while you are wearing it. The higher strength patch will couse more pronounced symptoms if you smoke with it on. But if you just had one and aren't going to smoke again while wearing, then you are fine. The nicotine from the cigarrette leaves fairly quickly, or at least gets reduced quickly. I think you should try and wait the full time before puting on the patch, you don't want to get an over dose of nicotine in your system.. It could lead to heart problems..Just try and tough it out. |
