Should I Try to quit nicotine while I am sick? |
I was planning on quitting nicotine (chew) this week, but I came down with a nasty head cold (coughing, stuffy nose, etc.) Should I still try to use this week to quit or would it be better for my body to wait until I was healthy. I am just concerned that if my body is trying to repair two things at once my cold will last for longer and the quit will be harder. Any suggestions? Go ahead and do it now. You're going to feel a bit crummy anyway, so at least you can blame it on the cold. And if you're off work you can just take a nap whenever you want a ciggie. Good luck to you. Go ahead and quit now. You're miserable anyway and chewing will slow the healing of your cold. try it when your healthy is safest and best bet |
