Nicotine Patch--To Shower or Not To Shower?

I'm on Day 2 with the Nicotine Patch and have just applied my second patch. Then I realized, I still need to shower. Is it OK to shower and how will it effect how well the patch works? Thanks!

Whip off the patch it should still be sticky!
