i just took 5 500 mg. of niacin. im feeling hot. that can't hurt me right? i know it causes liver damage but this is a one time thing. everything ok?? thankss.. =] Overdosing on Niacin can make you turn beet red and make your skin feel like it is burning. Take a cool shower or bath. All of your blood is rushing to your skin. You need to cool the skin to make your capillaries shrink. Facial flushing is the most common side effect of niacin. My friend Bryan use to do it to watch his skin get blotchy too. As with anything "all things in moderation" ...thats a myth. Its believed that multi-vitamins (not just Niacin) helps one loose weight cause your body doesn't feel deprived of nutrients... therefore you eat less. Remember our technology ...
