A doctor said that niacin has been told to cause liquid hepatitus ever heard this? |
my husband and i was in E R. dr asked wut meds he was taking .my husband said niacin . Dr said he should not take it that it causes liquid Hepatitus . . I think you may have misunderstood the doctor, because there is no "liquid" hepatitis. After searching the internet, I did find an article about niacin induced hepatitis (see the link below). Maybe that was what he was referring to. Best wishes. |

Although Niacin, Vitamin B3 is used to help folks with high cholesterol, it has to be very carefully monitored and adjusted. In high doses it has some very unsavory side effects, such as skin rash...
