How to use niacin to increase energy?

How to use niacin to increase my HDL to increase energy? M red blood count is3.59 M/uL

Niacin barely raises HDL. HDL cholesterol levels have nothing to do with energy.

Hi there,

Niacin is not used to increase energy. It can be used to increase HDL or reduce LDL but that in itself will not give you more energy. One problem with naicin is the flushing that it can cause. With me, my old multi-vitamin, even though did not contain a lot of niacin, it was enough to cause the flushing. It feels like a really bad sunburn; it can radiate dow nthe arms or legs too. It usually took about 30-40 miuntes after injesting and would last anywhere from 30-60 minutes be fore the flushing would go away. Industires also use niacin as a food colouring agent.

Cheers.

I don't know about that but I take it to get my good cholestrol up and you have to take it a little at a time until you reach desired dosage or you will get those "hot flashes" and let me tell you your gonna think you're going to die any minute! They are absolutely brutal! I take 500mg and started at 100mg increasing every three or four days until I reached the 500 mg!
Didn't do it that way the first time around and had the HOT FLASHES! WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Someone told me they make a version now that supposedly you don't get those hot flashes!
PS: And women tell me how bad they have it! Try one of those hot flashes ladies!

You can't. This is not a function of niacin. You should be addressing your red count instead. That's where your problem is. Speak to your doctor, the one who ordered your labs.
