Do you take 500 mg of each Niacin & B12 at each meal? |
An answer was given to take 500 mg of Niacin & B12 at each meal for three months to clean chloresterol out of your pipes. Do take 500 mg of each or is it different amouts of each totalling 500mg. This sounds better than taking chemicals. The recommended daily allowance of niacin is 2-12 mg a day for children, 14 mg a day for women, 16 mg a day for men, and 18 mg a day for pregnant or breast-feeding women. Over 20 mg per day may produce hot flushes lasting 15-30 minutes in duration, along with a strange itching sensation and a reddening of the skin. In some cases it may cause a headache or even nausea. This is completely normal if a large dose of niacin hasn't been taken before and is caused by the cells of the body releasing histamine, which results in vasodilation. Once the body becomes used to the larger dose (usually over a period of days), these side effects will lessen or cease. (Excerpt taken from wikipedia). So take no more than 2 x 10mgs per day otherwise you will get side effects. They are chemicals! LMAO... Niacin is going to help you a little bit with cholesterol and even your private life if you know what I mean, but 500 mg after each meal is a lot. I would not take more than 750 mg a day. Also it can cause flushes of blood to your skin... B12 is for anemic people that has nothing to do with cholesterol. Lipitor is the strongest remedy (from what I remember) proven in clinical studies... |
