I take a super b complex and multi which have 45 mg of niacin altogether,? |
is this too much niacin and could it cause increased sexual desire? No. actually taking a b complex would decrease sexual desire since the it thickens the blood which decreases the speed of the bloodflow. As far as Niacin concern 45mg is more than the norm but its still low when compared to supplements... I have experimented with 500mg of niacin and yikes its scary your entire body turns red like a sunburn... its called a niacin flush and you feel warm for a bout a few hours eventually it goes away... the only benefit for high doses like 500mg is to lower your bad cholesterol ie: LDL but as far as sexual desire does nothing significant... if you want to increase that try Zinc 25mg and Vitamine E 400IU and not the multi vitamine.... hope that helps! (oh ya the side effects of too much niacin is that it effects the kidneys...) It's not too much niacin. There are many supplements sold that are Vit B 50 or 100. |
