Neuropathy sufferers, stop suffering today?

I suffered for 4 years, had many tests and all concluded that I had the desease but not how to control the pain. At one point I was referred to a pain specialist who started putting me on major pain meds. they put me in a permanent droisey state with periodic epileptic type siezures. Friends pushed me to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. for a complete diagnosis. I did and I had 3 weeks of testing and the pleasure of getting the result from my doctor within 30 minutes of taking the test. Even the MRI and CAT scans had results on their computers within minutes.

The conclusion, I had Neuropathy which has no known rememdy or cause of the disease. The disease attacks the out covering of the nerves and eats it away. The eating is what causes the pain.

To control the pain, use Neurontin or its generic form. Its an old drug so they know the negatives of it. I take 6400 mg. per day and sometimes go up more when needed . This with biofeedback I can controll all of my pain.

I wish Neurontin had worked for me. I tried it for about 2 years with varying degress of success, but it really did do much. I had my left leg amputated and have both phantom and neuropatic pain to this day. Today I take Nortriptylin, just started Lyrica, and oxycontin. Not sure how much the Lyrica will help but I am hopfull.

something you learn to life with, but sure isnt fun without meds. Glad you got help for yours.
