Neuropathy & Gastroparesis: ever wake up in pain everywhere?

Why woud neuropathy cause a person to wake up with pain all over their body? I thought neuropathy was usually numbness.

I know all about GP, thanks. I take either Reglan or Domperidone for it so far. But I am just getting bad pain in my limbs in bed, and I fall down sometimes (imbalance). This has just started to happen with me, so it's a real wake up call.

there are two types of nuropathy
1- a small fibre
2-large fibre
the smll fibre one causes paresthesias ,pains ,needles ,burning etc.the cause is the cry of the dying nerve.examination and tests are normal
large fibre can cause nagging or shooting pains and imbalance etc
-As neuropathy progresses the nerve fibres die leading t numbness, ulcers etc.
what do u need about gastroparesis
it is caused when neuropathy affects vagus nerve that innervates ur stomach.causing gastroparesis.take some pro kinetics as domperidone and metoclopromide

painful neuropathy, the main cause is vitamin deficiency,b12 and other b group vits,and also seen in diabetes.check for vit b12 serum levels and also for diabetes. gastroparesis you have to go to gastroenterologist.one word ,gastroparesis is common in diabetes.
