What is neuropathy?

I believe it has something to do with the nerves in the body. I had Singles last year and developed sever neuropathy withing my body (especially my legs and back).I was prescribed Neurontin which is amazing (even though I still have some really bad episodes). Also does anyone know if it's considered a disability?

I have peripheral neuropathy. I can be very painful; it can be debilitating.

Mine started out with a mild case of Shingles that lasted 3 and 1/2 months. I took Neurontin also. It was okay, but now I take Lyrica. It works much better for me.

I would suggest you get online and educate yourself as much as possible about this problem. Then get your doctor to recommend a specialist to keep up with regularly. It is very important.

I don't mean to sound frightening and serious. But, you should really know as much as you can as soon as you can. The damage it does to your organs that you are not even aware of is usually irreversible. Please, get on this quickly. Knowledge is power.

I'll have you in my prayers.
.

Hope this helps you!!!
