Could I be experiencing neuropathy, and could it be as a result of my partial hysterectomy two years ago?

I've had a very troubling and persistent group of symptoms that have been getting progressively worse for about two years, and I am nearly convinced that I have peripheral neuropathy from what Ive been reading online recently. At this point, I have horrible and nearly constant tingling/burning sensations in my limbs. I also get frequent jolts of pain that occur out of the blue, and are severe enough at times to make me cry out. I'm often dizzy, uncoordinated, and I have a lot of accidents around the house because of it. This all started about two days after I had a partial hysterectomy. On my first day at home, my left foot began to feel hot. It would last for a minute or so a few times a day, then began to spread up my leg. I mentioned this to my surgeon when she called to check on me. She expressed surprise and seemed puzzled by my symptom, saying she'd never heard anyone have such a side effect, but assured me at that time it had nothing to do with the surgery. Now, I really wonder

If you're been getting worse for two years, it's high time you saw a doctor about this. Start with your family doctor or internist. In all likelihood, he or she will refer you to a specialist.

About all you can get here is educated guesses and sympathy. If you're experiencing this much physical discomfort and occasional pain so bad you cry out, you need to get to the bottom of your symptoms and begin whatever treatment is available instead of asking us dopes online.

Worry less about the cause and more about the cure, okay?
