Tingling in feet - possible neuropathy?

I sometimes get this intense, rather painful, tingling "Pins and needles" sensation in my feet. I used to think it was from ill-fitting shoes - however, I've come to realize that it doesn't matter what shoes I wear. It usually happens when I am sitting down.

What may be causing this? I've heard that neuropathy can cause similar symptoms - but I don't see why someone like me would have it? I'm 16 years old, very healthy, am not diabetic, have never been on chemo or other heavy medications, and have no other medical conditions.

What could be going on?

It also doen't go away after I change the position I'm sitting in.

sounds like you are sitting funny and your damn feet are going to sleep!.... try sitting on your feet with you knees on the floor ya know... for like 30 minutes... I bet they get the same feeling.... you sound healthy I suggest you stop worrying and don't go to web MD anymore cause it'll just make you a hypochondriac!
