Hi there ive been on this line before regarding my grandaughter (princess ellie)?

Ellie came over to visit me as i live in Malta for a holiday in march 2006 and she became sick .I thought it was a cold in her lower back and the dr prescribed her antibiotics .Two days later she went home to Sheffield and 3 days after that she was in hospital having tests i flew over and she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage 3 .I slept by her bed just to give my son and his wife a rest for a period of 5 months on and off .She had the chemo, operation, intense chemo and finally radiotherapy .At the end of October she went into remmision but now its back and its incurable shes taking morphine and a light chemo at home .I am back in Malta just returned last week to close things up and im flying back next week i speak to her by phone (when shes not asleep )and i am wanting to know How long will it be before she passes .I was at the hospital but my Son and his wife seem to be in denial understandable so i said nothing .And will she at least go peacefully please help me im going crazy .

Oh, I'm so sorry you are going through this. Yes, she should go into a coma and then fade off peacefully. Hard to say how long it will take as it's different for everyone. God be with you all and ease your pain and bless the little angle you will have watching over you.

It all depends. My sister has stage IV sarcoma and was told twice she would pass in months. She has been here for three years since, and is doing wonderfully. Don't give up hope. What is incurable to man is not to God.

i really wish i knew the answer for you but i dont ,but i do feel for you and your family ,,,bless her heart,,try looking on the internet to learn more about this ,you might find the answer there,,but most people when they get close to the end have all the medical painkillers possible ,,,she will at least be with out pain when this time come ,but when ,,,she may surprise you ,,but what a terrible thing for some one so young to have to face ,,,my heart goes out to you all ,,,,but educate yourself more ,this will help if you understand it more ,and when this time comes you may need to be strong to help the ones left behind ,,,,,our love to you all

It is very obvious that you love your granddaughter dearly. We call my daughter Princess also. My sister has outlived three of her seven children. One to Vietnam, one to a car accident, one to cancer. I have no idea how to help you deal with this. Spend as much time as you can with her and your family. Love her as strongly as you can and just be there for her. My son was diagnosed with cancer at 16. I do not know when my tears have flowed so freely and if I have ever felt as helpless as a mother. His anger was turned toward me because I could not make it go away. To this day, both he and his father refuse to accept the necessary check ups and we simply wait for it to come back.. He lives today and that is all that anyone can ask.. My prayers and my thoughts are with you and yours. Most doctors today will not let anyone suffer in this state. She will proably just go. Love her every minute of the day and talk to her even if you think she can not hear. Just let her hear her Grandpas voice. God Bless
