Is it true that using optical mouse is bad for your arms?

Is it true that using Optical Mouse is bad for your hand?

Btw, optical mouse is a mouse that doesn't use ball (or track ball), but use a "laser" instead.

I've received an e-mail from my friend that told me that using optical mouse is bad for your arms. It's because optical mouse has five times of radiation of that cell-phone radiates. And because human's nerves concentrated on tip of fingers, we could get some kind of nerves disease (on your fingers nerve) if we use optical mouse.

Is that true? And if it's true or NOT, please write the reason. Thanks!

PS:Actually, I think that it's a lie, but I want to verify it.

It's a lie, it's like cell phones causing gas stations to blow up. I work for a package delievery service and we ship optic mice, cell phones and what not all the time, and if something edmits radioactivity it's required to be labeled, even if it doesn't emit the radiation when it's turned off. the only thing you have in ur home that is slightly radioactive is ur smoke detectors.which are class 1, meaning as long as u dont eat them you'll be fine

that's a ridiculous statement.

if an optical mouse has radiation from the light within it, it will be so miniscule it will not even affect a mosquito. you should be more concerned if your monitor gives off radiation than your optical mouse.

now you have made me scared of my mouse ,thanks a lot
should be no more dangerous than playing with yourself
also uses the arm a lot ,but with out radiation ofcourse

the light comes from an L.E.D., which is completely harmless. the same lights that light up kids toys and electronic signs. takes about 1 volt to run it

That's not true. I've been using an optical mouse forever and my arms are fine =)

So far I haven't felt any negative effects. I think it's safe to say the mouse is okay.

I like to check out these silly things at truthorfiction.com before i forward them so I don't look dumb. Just thought you might enjoy this site in the future. Good Luck.

The only danger comes from RSI and you get that with all mice. A friend needed two fingers strapped together because of it and it limited his lifestyle considerably.
