Why is the government poisoning the food supply with iron?

The government poisons the food supply with iron by putting it in all flour, even though there is evidence that excessive iron can lead to liver disease, diabetes, impotence, sterility, heart failure, sudden death, headaches, vascular damage, strokes, degenerative nerve disease, dementia, memory loss, vision problems, depression, lethargy, poor job performance, personality changes, poor judgment, slow reaction time, deadly accidents, stomachaches, breast cancer, poor digestion and improper metabolism. Sweden began to fortify its food with iron in 1948. By 1977, the incidence of liver cancer had increased by 350%. In 1995, iron fortification of foods in Sweden was discontinued. Why is the US government still poisoning the food with this stuff?

Some group of health conscious people out insisted iron be added to white flour to combat anemia.

The reason that enriched flour is "enriched" as opposed to "fortified" is because the nutrients are added for the purpose of replacing those lost in the flour processing, not introducing nutrients that were never in the food originally.

Yet, we now have a different group of health conscious people who are concerned too much iron is in our diet.

If you don't want extra iron in you flour, buy whole wheat flour.

You are aware your body requires Iron to live aren't you? Look, the government is not forcing flour companies or anyone else to add Iron to their products. If that were the case the government would be facing class action law suits all the time and their not. You haven't been seeing black helicopters have you?

Let me guess, they also have got it out for us by fluoridating our water supply.

I would suspect that they do it because they can. Most, when presented with the evidence will choose not to believe it. I do know that there is only one way to get rid of iron - To donate blood. Also avoid breakfast cereals. 1 cup of cereal can have have more iron than an 8 oz steak.

I don't know which is worse, the junk you wrote or the fact that you believe it. You really need to get out more.
