Cong. toxoplasmosis?

what is the modality of treatment for a chorioretinal scar in a boy of 12 yr possibly due to a cong.toxoplasmosis ...who has developed nystagmus ??? and is there an association of cong.toxoplasmosis with nephritis ?

There is an association between acute nephritis and toxoplasmosis. With congenital toxoplasmosis to reduce the chorioretinal scar, triple therapy can be used (pyramethamine, sulfadiazine and prednisone) or quadruple therapy (the first 3 plus clindamycin). Other ocular disorders, including nystagmus, may develop.
