What's the difference btw?

neoplasia, neoplasm and neoplastic?

I have a medical terminology test tomorrow. plz

Neoplasia is the abnormal growth of cells (for example, a tumor).

A "neoplastic" growth is called a "neoplasm." So the group of abnormal cells that underwent neoplasia, collectively are called a neoplasm. Together, all the cells are said to be neoplastic, because they underwent abnormal growth. I know this is very confusing, but I hope my answer helped! Best of Luck!

mmmm....NEOn't sure. maybe try an online dictionary, like dictionary.com

Neo = New:, Plasm = Growth

Neoplasm = New-growth or Tumour

Neoplasia = plural of Neoplasm. Both are nouns.

Neoplastic = is an adjective of the noun Neoplasm.
