Pls explain this pap result....? |
General Categorization: Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy It's an abnormal PAP. Neutrophils are one type of white blood cell. When the body is invaded by bacteria (or other foreign organisms), more neutros are produced to help fight infection. That you have an elevated neutro count supports this. Neutro are phagocytes -- that is, they engulf bacteria and literally eat them. White blood cells (WBC) fight infection and you do have one. The culprit is a coccobacillus (one type of bacteria), well actually many coccobacilli. You have a moderate inflammation, may be pelvic inflammatory disease. No cancer identified. Epithelial cells are just skin cells. Untreated PID can lead to sterility. Is this your own PAP or is this a school assignment??? If this were yours, the results would've been explained to you. Dont freak out you have a generic or run of the mill vaginal infection. Clindamycin or flagyl cream or flagyl pills.*- |
