Suffered neck injury; something pops in and out in neck when turning/bending head to left, what could it be? |
I suffered a head and neck injury from a accident caused by a neglegent driver who rear ended me and left me unconsious. I awoke to severe ringing in my ears that sounded like constant school bus hornsblowing & have trouble with a bone or disk that buldges out when I turn & bend my neck to the left, when IT? pops out severe head pain radiating from lower part of my neck up the back of head to my front forehead occurs it feels like the blood flow is stopping Have stabbing pain in right eye When pains finally cease I notice more little dots and lines in my right eye's vision And at night when I look about a dim lit area it seems as if there is a veil over my right eye and I am unable to see anything. During the day my right eye sees different colors, tones...I don't know how to describe it exactly except when looking at something white my left eye alone sees it as white, but my right eye sees it is as pinkish The colors are less vibrant, duller than the colors of my left eye Had MRI but This injury has been on going for 9 years. Had a MRI but NOT when neck was out of place Doctor has to schedule MRI and when it pops out is not up to me exactly so would need on the spot MRI when buldging and pain present. The MRI administrator said it sounded like a bone buldging out but MRI showed nothing, no wear and tear. I've never been shown the results of the MRI Sometimes I can feel 3 buldges and have to keep pushing them back into place to lessen the severe pain. Sometimes my arm goes numb and my fingers swell up I have passed out a few times It sounds like a herniated disk that may be impeding blood flow and is impinging on a spinal or cranial nerve. You may have to be persistent about getting a diagnosis. You may also have to change doctors in hopes of finding one who is more aggressive or more familiar with newer diagnostic techniques. A 3-D MRI may be helpful in pinpointing the problem even without obvious bulging. The thing about neck injuries, they usally take some time to heal completely. REST is the key. Wear your neck braces because this will lessen the activity around the injured area. Might as well refrain from moving that area around otherwise doing so could delay healing and will give you more pain. HOLY COW!!! This sounds AWFUL! |
