I have had bumps in back of throat(no tonsils),severe headaches, severe neck pain, upper back pain and pinching? |
I have had symptoms to thyroid problems for yrs now and doctors say its large but tests are always fine. I have suffered from headaches/migrains for almost 5yrs now but have been worse this past year along with sever pain in back of my neck. Ive had a tonsilectomy when I was 16..now 22..I was diagnosed with lingual tonsilitis last year but have had many many bumps in back of my throat since then...its been a year..its sore, more at night than anything...Ive had jaw pain, numbness in face and head at times,my neck is starting to swell a little and back of neck feel really hot. Im not sure if all these are connected but I cant get a doctor to do much and my syptoms are getting so much worse as each day passes. Im a stay at home mother and its to the point where Ive had to call and have a friend watch him and I lye in bed crying because Im in so much pain....Possable neck injury cause these problems? Im so confused and starting to get scared...any suggestions? I HAVE SEEN 3 DOCTORS ABOUT THIS AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LIGUAL TONSILITIS BY AN ENT WHO PUT THOSE TUBE CAMERAS DOWN MY NOSE INTO MY THROAT...I AM LIVING AT FORT RICHARDSON,ALASKA.(HUBBY IS IN THE ARMY) LIVING ON A MILTARY BASE AND HAVING MILITARY INSURANCE I SOMETIMES FEEL PEOPLE DONT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY...I FEEL NO ONES LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE AND JUST FILLING ME WITH MEDS I DONT NEED BECAUSE THEY DONT WORK...HAVE BEEN IN THE ER FOR THESE SYMPTOMS AS THEY GET WORSE 5-6TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. ANYONE KNOW ANY SUGGESTION ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT GETTING SOMEONE TO REALLY LISTEN??? HERE I HAVE TO MAKE SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS AND MY DOC IS OVERSEAS SO I SEE A VARIES OF DOCTORS...DEPENDING ON TIME OF MONTH HERE. I am no medical expert and do work in the medical field, but I would suggest that you don't give up just because one or two doctors can't seem to find the problem(s). Perhaps you should try a specialist of some kind... maybe in the ear, nose, and throat area if you have not already. I don't know where you live, but if you have any top rated hospitals or medical centers in your area I'd try just walking into one of those--even as an emergency. Just don't stop until you find (or make) a good doctor take a look at you thoroughly. Do not continue to suffer. Get on-line and read as much as you can about thyroid issues and other neck & throat issues. YA BEST GET TO A DR' SOON THOSE BUMPS SOUND OF AN INFECTION I suggest you go to the doctor. You might have infectious Mononucleosis, if you start having sever strep throat, get a blood test done to see if you do. My sister has it, it might go away when you turn 25. DOCTOR AND QUICK DON'T SIT ON THE COMPUTER HOPING FOR ANSWERS. DOCTOR DOCTOR! GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM I think you should get a second option however if the new doctor doesn't give you any hope I would ask him about therapy treatments. I would specifically ask about massage therapy (as long as there is 'no' infection because otherwise the massage could possibly spread the infection via blood circulation). The pain, numbness, and pinching feeling could be from a pinched nerve and/or muscle spasms which could be helped with massage treatments and may or may not be related to the bumps in your throat however I am not a doctor. If you decide to take the MT route check your health insurance for coverage. |
