Nervous system error. Spinal pain and or neck arm pain.?

I have a 2 year old neck injury and no insurance. It has ben good for a year. I've ben involved in high intensity usage, and have ben having pain in a finger on my left hand and in my left elbow. Sometimes it is numb, other times they ache, or the joints just lock up. Well, with the pain in my neck they sometimes harmonize pops, and or aches. Im not sure if Ive injured these joints and am not getting the propper nerve response, or if the source is my spinal injury. Either way, I have no money, or insurance, and was wondering what you think about this situation. I did go to an orthopedic surgeon, who said give up, and A chiropractor who said keep going 2 years ago when the back injury occured. I had insurance then. aNYhoW, What to do?

Learn some Yoga, especially Kundalini Yoga. Try to find the VHS tape about K.Y. put out by Gurmukh.

ROLFING is better than chiropratic, if you can find a Structural Reintegration therapist.

But you need about $100 for each of ten weekly sessions, which sounds like it might be a problem. But if you save up a Thou, the Rolfing will do you the most good, and it's for LIFE. Ten sessions, no more as with chiropractors who keep you on the hook for years.

You may have a pinched nerve. There are home traction units, which involve putting a harness over a door, and slipping your head into a pouch, with a pulley tied to a weight. You sit there, while about 15 lbs. pulls your head up gently, easing the pressure on your neck discs.

Oddly, something that helped me once was prolonged giving of oral sex. I'm not kidding. It's great exercise for your neck. The tongue nerves are close cousins of those in the neck. Or maybe, just necking and kissing might help. But go easy......

Try not to lean on your arm, with your elbow on the table. This irritates the elbow and makes things worse. Lie back with a rolled--up towel, behind your neck, for support.

Another thing you can do is get on your hands and knees, and let your head hang down. This stretches the neck for several minutes--natural traction.

It sounds like what happened to me when I had a pinched nerve in my C-spine. I'm not saying that this is what is definitely wrong with you, but if I were you I would call around to Doctors and/or hospitals to find one that treats patients who don't have insurance or enough money. There are charities that donate to doctors for this exact reason. But you definitely need to get in to see a doc about it.

Hmmm, you're definitely in a tricky situation, and I'm sorry that you're sick and going through these tough times. I think finding a good chiropractor would best, since you've already tried osteopathy and the only thing an MD might be able to do for you is drugs or surgery (which costs a whole lot w/o insurance, and could have dangerous side effects). I know you've tried chiropractic, but I think you should give it another shot for two reasons. One is that it might not take too long for chiropractic to help you (you could be well in a only a few weeks, and then you can stop if you really can't afford it).

You should definitely do some research though. Find a good DC that comes recommended, visit multiple offices and pick someone who would be willing to work out a payment plan with you. The second reason is that this is YOUR HEALTH and YOUR LIFE we are talking about here. Sometimes I can't understand why people are willing to drop hundreds of dollars, even thousands, on things like clothes and new tv's, but when it comes to their health they don't want to spend anything. I'm not saying that this is your situation, but what is there that's more important than your health? You need to be healthy so you will be able to work to support yourself (or family).

So, I'm not saying that chiropractic is the guaranteed cure for you, and the decision is ultimately yours to make. I just hope that you do what's best for your health, whether you choose to see an MD or DC. Good luck to you!

Start taking the Homeopathic Remedies ARNICA MONTANA 30C, RHUS TOX 30C and HYPERICUM 30C thrice a day half hour before or after meals work like a charm and you do not need a prescription. Get it from your local Health & Herbal Stores most of them sell Homeopathic Medicines too. Quite cheap and very very effective without any side effects or complications.
Take care and God Bless !
