Yaz birth control: Please share your experiences with me.?

Firstly, before I say anything. I already know I should consult my doctor with my questions and I intend to. I am only asking for you to share your experiences with me.

I just started taking yaz three weeks ago since I was told it could help with acne. Some of the things I have been experiencing are ungodly food cravings. I eat a big meal and then could eat another 30mins later. Acne breakouts in places that never normally break out, cyst acne at the nape of my neck for example.
I never had clear skin to begin with but this is insane. I already have a sleeping disorder and half to take a pill to knock me out each night. Since I have been taking this my pill does nothing and I get a strange burst of energy around 3am. It's almost like I have done speed or something.

Have any of you experienced things like this while taking yaz?

Did your symptoms go away after continuous use?

I never took Yaz but I've heard of this before from a friend who took it - she had to go on a higher dose of birth control and is on Ortho Cyclin (monoessa is the generic) and she has been much better.

Remember some women don't clear up with BC and others do, but you may just need a higher dosage.

I took it and it gave me mayor migraines. i wanted to cut my head off. so i didn麓t even finish the package. never again. So instead I take Femiane ,

I take Yaz as well and the only thing I would complain about it, is it's made me gain weight. I'm always wanting to eat which I have to control this. I have heard that Yaz will clear up acne but, I haven't had it do anything to my face- better or worse. I've always heard pretty good things about Yaz.

I just finished my second pack of Yaz and I've definitely noticed that my acne has gotten worse. I never had perfectly clear skin, but my breakouts are much more frequent and much more severe and I'm having some problems with cystic acne too. I've also experienced some spotting. I am hoping by riding this out for another month things will start to level out.

Good luck.

I just started taking yaz a week ago. It has not broken out my skin at all. I do feel like im on speed though. It's hard for me to sleep at night. During the day I always have to be doing something. I feel like I have lost 5 lbs in a week also.

I had a headache for two weeks, was nauseated, and felt like I was ready to jump out of my skin after I'd taken a pill (which I'm assuming is like your strange burst of energy). However, in my second month everything seems to have calmed down. My skin has cleared miraculously on this--it just depends on your hormones. I think the normal advice is to wait 3 months for the hormones to normalize when you start birth control. If symptoms persist, change pills.
