Any suggestions? i have nearsightedness and astigmatism?

okay so i have nearsightedness and astigmatism. my nearsightedness was progressing kinda fast so my doc put me on bifocal contacts to slow it down. the only problem is my astigmatism. at first it didnt bother me. but now in school and stuff and on the road its kinda hard to see stuff and i still strain even with contacts on. my mom took me to the doc to find a solution but that was when my astigmatism wasnt as bad so my doc sed jus dont mind it. he also said that bifocal toric contacts are sooo costly and inconvenient. im only 13. underage for lasik so dont say get lasik. only serious answers please

bifocal contacts with astigmatism correction is too expensive

My suggestion would be to use toric contact lenses (contact lenses for astigmatism) and glasses for just near work. That way, you could not have to wear the glasses all the time, your astigmatism would be corrected, and you would still have the possible benefit of slowing down your myopia (nearsightedness).
Go back to your doctor and ask for the different options. Be sure to explain that you are having to strain to see well.

contacts or glasses - only option at this stage

acuvue contacts for astigmatism
