Do Acuvue 2 Colours Contact Lenses correct nearsightedness? |
I have trouble seeing far away, and every year at school they do an eye exam. Last year, I failed, so we went to see an eye doctor. The eye doctor said that I could use glasses, but if I wasn't going to wear them, they shouldn't get them. I tried my friends glasses on, and I see much better. I want to see better, but I don't want glasses. I have asked my parents about contacts, and they say I am not responsible enough for them. I think I am. I also want to get the ones that change the color of your eyes. All kids say this. If you are not responsible enough to wear the gallses, what makes you think that you would wear the contacts? Plus, the color lenses are much more expensive. It is not really an either/or thing, you need glasses. Once you are wearing the galsses and taking care of them properly, your folks might think of regular contacts. Colors are a big luxury. Ask them what they want you to be more responsible with and then do that for 6 months and ask if you can revisit the contact lense idea again then. If you are too immature to wear the glasses like you should, what makes you think that you will take care of eye health and contacts in a mature manner? It all goes hand in hand. Your parents are most likely correct intheir judgement. you should ask your eye doctor |

I know of no power of nearsightedness, unless your speaking of nearsightedness in the way of how you think about things. As far as sight is concerned, it is defiantly not contagious. In the way of ... Yup. Regular contact lenses correct nearsightedness, and toric contact lenses correct astigmatism. Sounds like your optometrist didn't get your prescription right. Did you get toric lenses ... If you are nearsighted, that means you need glasses for distance, You can see at near. Does your friend wear them for reading or distance?
