Are there contacts for both astigmatism and nearsightedness?

because i suffer from both and it's still hard for me to see with my contacts

Yup. Regular contact lenses correct nearsightedness, and toric contact lenses correct astigmatism. Sounds like your optometrist didn't get your prescription right. Did you get toric lenses for astigmatism? If you didn't, regular contact lenses won't correct it, and there are some people who can't wear contacts because they have severe nearsightedness and/or astigmatism. Better talk to your optometrist.

Of course there are! I am severely nearsighted, and have quite a high degree of astigmatism, and i've been fine with vision in my contacts..

The lenses i've had the best vision in were the soflens 66's, unfortunately, they dried my eyes out and made them red and sore, so i'm looking into other types at the moment.

The Acuvue Advance for astigmatism were also alright in terms of vision, but slipped around a lot and again, dried my eyes out.

I'm now going to try Purevision Torics, so hopefully those will be alright! But there are lots on the market at the moment, which ought to be fine for you.

the regular soft contact lenses can correct upto one diopter of astigmatism,,in addition to myopia,,depends on what your error is,,there is contact lenses for every refractive error ,

Yes there are! Depending on the amount of astigmatic correction you need you might get by with just regular contacts but if you have a larger amount , Or it is placed differently you might have to go to toric lenses. These are more expensive but they work really well. The ones we sell the most of lately are Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism, But there are lots of good ones your eye doctor will know which ones are best for you.
