Headaches from Overhead?

Hi. I just started school, and for the past couple years, I have been getting headaches when I look at overheads or any concentrated light in a dark room. This year, it seems to be a lot worse than it was before.

I have a low Rx for myopia, but I haven't gotten glasses yet. Do you think the head aches are related to nearsightedness, or is it a different problem that I need to have checked out. Thanks.

I have had headaches for years. First they said it was my teeth, then my eyes, my diet, stress, meds I take, they still don't know. No matter what it is have a Medical Doctor check you. When you are dealing with your health get a doctors opinion first (you are very important), then if you want to check it out on the Internet or ask someone opinions that's great. I always get a copy of my test results and check it out on the Internet too.

You will only be able to tell if there is a marked difference and improvement with this once you are wearing your eyeglasses.

Nearsightedness, which is uncorrected can contribute to headaches as you are most likely straining your eyes and that is causing the problem.

It sounds like you may have developed a little farsightedness. In any case, I think its time to see your optometrist.

you need a pair of glasses with UV ray protection in them to cut down on the glare.
