New glasses cause straining/ tingling in the eyes?

I'm 14 and these are my first pair of glasses.

I have nearsightedness. When I put them on I feel nauseous when walking around and stuff. Also my eyes get tired when focusing on close objects like the computer or a book. I've had the glasses for about 4 days and I'm having a hard time getting used to them.

Usually it takes a couple days to get used to your new glasses, because you aren't used to being able to seeing so well. Don't worry, I've been there for sure.

If it persists for about a week, you should tell your guardian(s), and if you are REALLY having trouble with them, you should go back and get your eyes checked again--you may of gotten tested incorrectly. Hint: Don't squint during eye tests.

You may take a while to adjust to them but give them time. If it doesn't get better in a couple days go back to the eye doc and get the glasses checked out, For now put them on and leave them on. The more you wear them the sooner you will adjust to them.

I would say they are not correct. Go back and have your Dr. check them out.

By this point you should not be experiencing this amount of discomfort. You should go back to your eye doctor and make sure the RX is right.

i got glasses when i was young i took me at least 2 weeks to get rid of that i would always get headaches

if it persists for over a month call your eye doctor he/she can help

Hi! At the doctor's office I work at, we generally ask our patients that are new to glasses or contacts wear them only for 2 to 4 hours the first day, and 4-6 hours the next day and then 6-8 hours the third day. If after three days you are still not adjusted to them, you should go back the the doctor that gave them to you and be sure to explain all of your problems with the glasses.

go back to ur doc make sure they are the same prescription and then give them 2 weeks to get used to them
