I have a cough I have never had before...? |
I've gone through my fair share of bronchitis, sinus problems, nasal drips, especially since I have been a smoking for about 2 years now. All were causes of excess coughing (usually including mucus). But over the past couple of days, I have gotten a cough I have NEVER had before. It's more of a dry cough and I can feel mucus deep in my chest, but it is nearly impossible to cough up. Also, there is a lot of wheezing, even when I am just breathing normally. The best way to describe this abnormal cough is that it sounds like STATIC when I cough. I have never experienced this sound or feeling before when I cough, and since I always just to conclusions, the first thing that jumped in my head was LUNG CANCER! I looked up the early symptoms to lung cancer, and of course I know I am just psyching myself out about having them. I am planning on going to the doctor, just wanted to ask and see if anyone has also experienced this. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this! Since I started feeling this way, I have not smoked. And just the very thought of lung cancer (even though I know it's not) makes me want to quit more than ever! Don't worry Dear, don't think it is lung cancer. You are doing the right thing by going to the doctor! I just got over bronchitis and pneumonia and it sounds exactly like what you are describing. I had a very dry cough and couldn't get anything up when I did cough. You could hear me when I was breathing and it sounded just as you said, like static! I could hear a crackly sound when I was breathing. I am a smoker too and it scared me out of my wits!! I went to the doc and ended up in the hospital for a week and a half. The good thing is, I haven't smoked since I went in!!! Good Luck to you!!! i koed a faret Dearie~!! Go to a doctor immediately. Get the truth and no hearsay from a bunch of quacks that may be attracted to this post! Stop Smoking. could be deep brochitus, or croop Most likely from a combination of the weather and your smoking, visit a doctor immediately. AND QUIT SMOKING, ITS OBVIOUS! sounds like bronchial bronchitis, you should google COPD, asthma, bronchitis emphysema are all beginnings just stop smoking & go to the doctor..............do u knw what the 1st price for smokers............................??? lung cancer so................if u want dat u can continue smoking no problem if u dnt want dat disease try to avoid smoking take care buh byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Here are a few simple home remedies that will help to overcome cough. Have honey in a hot drink before bed time.To relieve fits of coughing due to dryness in the throat, suck a few pepper corns. Check out http://useinfo6.blogspot.com/ for more remedies and information. As I am going through a similar experience as you, the best thing you can do for yourself is not smoke, or drastically cut down on how much you do smoke. |
