What are narcotics or narcotic activity?

I have been watching the cops show latley and they ask people do you have any narcotics on you? They also mention things like narcotic activity. I am only 11 years old.

Narcotics are drugs in general. Narcotic activity is something relating to drug activity, such as buying or selling.

narcotics are anything that alters your mind.....(makes you act differently than you normally would)....don't be foolish....Some of these things they are referring to are legal and some are illegal...in any case, be safe.
