Have you ever suffered from hives ,due to narcotics?

I had surgery exactly one year ago. The narcotics I was given to kill the pain caused two problems; withdrawal,my doctor did not tell me to ease off them...AND...Hives. Again, I had to figure this out on my own. I knew I needed a Dermatologist. I've been on Doxipin for many months....problem better but not gone...10 pound wt. gain. Sound familiar to anyone??!!

if you are not exposed to narcotics anymore then they should be out of your system, if you are still having allergic reactions, then it could be something else, do see a dermatologist, good luck

I've only had hives once, and that was immediately following a Barium swallow xray. They tried to tell me I was allergic to barium. The problem was my Lymphoma that hadn't been identified yet. I hope your situation gets better!
