Narcotics and narcotics?

Hello, I was just dignosed with having back problems and its causing me a llot of pain, the doctor has prescribed a narcotic to me 4 to 5 times a day, I will probably be on them untill after my surgery.
but I am so freaken constipated, I have tryed the fiber supplemts and alot more water im up to 16-20 cups a day.
I did try the gucalax but the cramps were so bad. can anyone help?

That is a frequent side effect of narcotics. See if you can reduce the dose and/ or find an alternative pain reliever (? Piroxicam).
