Are most Doctors in Mexico more lenient when prescribing narcotics?

It seems like when you are in serious pain, the Doctors here in the US immediately go for ibuprofen instead of Darvocet or Vicodin.

I do realize that these drugs are addictive and Doctors should not just give them to anybody but many seem to refuse.

If I took a vacation to Mexico and saw a Doctor, would they be more apt to prescribe a narcotic?

Is it like this for all of Mexico?

Ibuprofen is not a prescription drug nor Mexico nor USA. You can buy advil without a prescription.

And no, Mexican doctors are not easy for prescribing narcotics.

You will find that there are no morphin in mexican hospitals, while is very used in USA.

If a person tries to "buy" a prescription, could be in problems, because mexican Medicine is proud of its values.

I can assure it to you.

NO... in fact, Mexican doctors are even LESS prone to subscribe narcotics than are American doctors. A couple of years ago the Mexican Feds really cracked down on all the illegal drugs and prescriptions being done in the border towns and when the got done cleaning up the borders... the free ride to narcotics was OVER... in a big way.

I was actually in a border town when the Federal troops came in... closed down about half the farmicias on the spot and arrested anyone that didn't make a run across the border... it was quite a show... and it stopped the narcotic trade.

I understand what you are saying about the Dr's just being more willing to give ibuprofen. I have truly horrible back pain and the Dr only will give me ibuprofen so I just tell them never mind I won't take anything... It's like I'm in pain I'm not a drug addict, why would I take something that not even going to work, hell they can keep their stupid ibuprofen.
