Are pharmaceutical narcotics such as hydromorphone and morphine safer to use than street drugs such as heroin |
are these pharmaceuticals safer to use than traditional street drugs because they are manufactured. And I am wondering about recreational use, not prescribed use... No conclusions drawn here....just straight up facts. NO drug is safe for recreational use! That is called drug abuse. You risk addiction, dangerous side effects (some that could affect you for life) and not to mention possible legal complications. Kicking an addiction is a hell all of its own. Side effects could land you in the emergency room, permanently disabled or dead. I don't need to explain the legal issues. Street drugs of any form are not safe as you never know the strength or what else could be in them. They are sometimes combined with other chemicals/drugs to enhance them to make them seem better or as fillers to make them go further so the dealer can make more money off of them. Dealers don't give a crap about you, they only want to make money. It only takes one time with some "bad sh*t" to ruin your entire life or kill you. You are basically playing Russian Roulette any time you take street drugs. Taking narcotics that are not prescribed to you is just as dangerous since you have not been counseled as to how they should be taken and how much. There are many, many people lying in a grave because they unintentionally took too much. And everyone is different....too much for one person may be nothing to someone else. No conclusions drawn here, just straight facts. I hope your question was out of pure curiosity though. The thing about street drugs is that you never know what you're really getting. While manufactured drugs, as long as nothing goes wrong in the making, you know exactly what you're getting (as long as the person giving you the pill knows what it is, is honest with you, and hasn't messed with it). I think it is safe to assume that pharmaceuticals would be "safer" due to the heavy government regulation that backs the product. |
