I am dependent on using narcotics,. I need advise???? |
The last few years I have been using recreational and have been fine but lately i am trying to stop and I can't. I use 2-3 times a week. I have a job and a apartment so I can't take time off to go somewhere to get clean. Any Ideas?? rehab.... Just stop doing it. Simple as that. Get rid of what you have and don't go anywhere near where you could get it. Think of yourself with no job or apartment and living on the streets trying to get your next fix and decide if thats the kind of life you want! If you only use 2 or 3 times a week bud , you don't have a problem. Quit and stop winning. When you are smoking crack everyday and drinking a 30 pack a night but can't get drunk cause you smoke to much crack then send me a message. I made it outta that without rehab or even moving away from my friends that did it. So so leave the drugs and drug problems up to the big dogs and get off the porch. Firstly - be proud of yourself by accepting that you have a problem and need help. Have you tried talking to your docotr who may have a way of helping you get off the medicines. They are usually willing to help aperson with this type of a problem. I recommend you find a new hobby. I had the same problem and what freaked me out was when i tried to stop i had withdrawals real bad, that was enought to make me wanna stop, u obviously already do so try to cut ur use down to half, then a quarter, take it every 4 days instead of 3 then every 5 until ur body is used to not having it, i found the physical side of going without the hardest as i was holding down a job as well and a mortgage, dont kid urself that it wil fix itself it wont, if u keep on u will be on the road to ruin, start cutting back NOW Try going to NA meeting and hook up with other people dealing with the same problems you have. Good luck. |

... It is always wrong to share a prescribed med with another person. Here is why--you have no way of knowing if that person could be allergic or unable to tolerate that med. Especially with narcotics... If it is the only way to keep the pain under control then yes. Try other things first (duh), but if that won't cut it then there is no choice. There are plenty of people who are on narcotics... Mostly window dressing. They're both based on the same 12 steps with little word changes. AA is more established and dogmatic, with a slightly better success rate: 5%. Yep, 5%. ... |
