Narcolepsy/ insomnia??

I've been constantly tired throughout the day for the last few years. I usually fall asleep extremely quickly at night. During the day I fall asleep at random moments, for a short while. I get temporary muscle weakness bordering on paralysis, hallucinations in those periods where I'm about to drop off to sleep, about to wake up, or when I'm particularly tired.

The last few months, however, I can't sleep at night (could be from emotional issues im dealing with). I've been getting by on short naps (5-10 min) several times throughout the day and night. The symptoms listed above have gotten worse since. My doctor said I'm a chronic insomniac, but isn't narcolepsy confused with insomnia at times? He's not aware of my symptoms of the last few years. Does this sound like narcolepsy or some other sleep issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I BET STRESS RELATED INSOMNIA

i think its narcolepsy....based on the symptoms....try to read on narcolepsy....
