About Narcolepsy...? |
Is it possible for a person suffering narcolepsy to fall asleep in one place and wake up in another? (Considering they may also suffer from automatic behaviour, or sleep walking). Yes, it is possible, they just don't remember it...my ex son-in-law does it. With him he does not remember how he got from one place to the other. He's not even aware that he fell asleep. He may remember sitting, watching T.V. or driving to the store but nothing afterwards. He would wake up and wonder why he was in his car... a very scary thing. Yeppy, it sure can happen. My ex hubby has it and would do everything from drive, work, sleepwalk, he even unloaded a gun, in his sleep...... Waking in a different place was nothing unusual for him. most narcoleptics don't suffer from sleep-walking simply because we usually have sleep paralysis as a symptom too...and that is the polar opposite of sleep-walking, which is hard (not impossible, just difficult) since both activities hit the same part of the brain. |
