Narcolepsy let me ..?

does anyone feel they are mistaken for being lazy?
i find most people do not realize how serious Narcolepsy really
is..and dating sucks,they say they support you but easily get
mad when you are tired or nod off.. like i can alway's help it.

i am a 29 year old mom of a 3 year old. i have narcolepsy,sleep apnea,cataplexy,asthma,anemia and more to add but i get tired just thinking of all the things wrong. i take 20mg of ritalin 3 times a day,as if i don't get tired enough i keep meeting people who are assholes in some way's. for example they ask me to come out later at night and i know i am to tired and they say to me
"it's only a five minute drive" and get pissy with me when i say i would really love to but i can't.
do they not realize it only takes 2 seconds and less than a block away and at any time we can crash?? it truely hurts my heart that people think narcolepsy is a joke at times.and another thing is i don't have to do much to get tired,i could walk up a flight of stairs sometimes and be ready for a nap.
and eating can be a nightmare, i love to eat but eating as much as i would like to makes me tired to the point i feel every meal is like thanksgiving,stuffed to the point i'm ready to sleep for the whole day.

my mom has it, narcolepsy is so misunderstood so I feel for ya.
