Does My Symptoms Sounds Like Narcolepsy?

Well, I am scheduled for a sleep study on Friday. I didn't want to do one because I just thought it was going to be a waste but I was finally talked into it.
I basically have very excessive daytime sleepiness. I do not snore at night. I do however toss, turn, move, flip and flop all night. My poor hubby can barley sleep with me. I wake up feeling extremely exhausted and not rested at all. Then almost everyday I get these, I guess I would call them "waves" of just totally and utter sleepiness. I feel like I am fighting to keep my eyes open. My body sort of turns to jello. I feel like when I blink my eyes I am not going to be able to open them and just pass out. It happen a lot while driving and its very scary. I try and pull over when I feel one comming on so I can pass out for a little while. Sometimes I nodd off without realizing it and like 1/2 second later jerk awake to being off the road....very scary. Sound like Narcolepsy??

I had the same exact symptoms a few years back and had a night and all day study. Every time they told me to sleep I fell asleep within a minute. They told me I was in the top 5% of the US that can fall asleep in less than a couple mins. I fell asleep at the wheel, at work, you name it. I never got a definitive answer of what caused it, it soon went away. I have a rare genetic disorder and I chalk everything up to it these days...go to the study, it will help, you may find an answer. If this keeps happening a doctor can prescribe you a med that keeps you a wake better during the day time hours. Good luck!
