Narcolepsy questions? |
Does anyone know if the symptoms of nacrolepsy can be from anything else, like, lack of sleep? I get frequent sleep paralysis, hallucinations(every once in a while since I was 18--now 25) and extreme tiredness. But Ive been sleeping like 3 hours a night for the past couple of weeks, and I take long naps during the day. I have a sleep study in a month, but im still worried. You can have daytime drowsiness, myoclonic jerks, hypnogogic and hypnopopic hallucinations without having narcolepsy. Thankfully u are smart enough to recognize that u have a problem and sought medical help. Your sleep study will find out whats wrong and help u correct it. Dosent sound like narcolepsy to me, unfortunately I am familiar with that disease as my son has had it since high school and hes now in his thirties. Best of luck to you. |
