Pain in ring finger?

For the past couple of days I have been experiencing a slight pain in my ring finger of my left hand. It's like a small, pulsating pain under my finger nail and sort of creeps up my arm. Is this anything to worry about?

I am 21. I hope it's nothing like heart disease symptom.

Causes
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when there is swelling or thickening of tissues close to or within the carpal tunnel in the wrist. This swelling or thickening increases pressure on both the median nerve and the blood vessels that nourish it. Any condition that causes the tissues in the wrist to swell will increase pressure on the median nerve and may cause the tingling, numbness, weakness, or pain of carpal tunnel syndrome
