5 medical questions ? please and thank you.?

1- does having scoliosis (15degree bend) affect my growth? im 5"2, 15 in may & half asian. ive noticed that all my friends have outgrown me when i used to be the tallest. what would my potential maximum height be?
2- is there a medical way of checking what my maximum height would be? i heard you there was like a bone scan or something?
3- what can i do to prevent from getting a 'bendier bend'? other shoulders back, head up etc.
4- my left knee has been clicking/cracking when i ride bikes, why is that? it doesnt hurt & i havent had any falls or any injuries recently.
5- recently, i was cleaning my nails & accidentally cut my finger. it didnt stop bleeding until about 5mins. i told my mum and she said i might have that problem where the blood doesnt clog fast enough (forgot the actual name). how can i know for sure that i have this disease?

1 - Yes, but probably not by very much.

2 - I don't know about checking for your future maximum height, but I do have a few ways of estimating your current "true height.". These are estimates so I make no claims for accuracy.

a) Measure from fingertip to fingertip.
b) Pick a spot at the top of your spine and the bottom of your spine. Measure between the two points with a ruler. Now, run a string from one point to the other, following the curve of your spine. Measure the lenght of the string between the two points. Subtract the first value from the second. Add the result to your standing height to get your true height.
c) I got this info from a friend on another site.

Here is another way, and is from the MUST tool which is used in hospitals. You use the measurement from your wrist (the prominent bone) to the point of your elbow to calculate your height according to sex and age. Scroll down to the last page in the pdf.

If I remember right, the numbers in the pdf are in centimeters. To convert from inches to centimeters, multiply inches by 2.54 to get centimeters. To convert from centimeters to inches, divide centimeters by 2.54 to get inches.

4 - Not sure. Since scoliosis affects how your hips and knees are stressed, your knee concerns could be related to your back, but this is a question for your scoliosis specialist.

5 - Ask your family doctor. Chances are, though, that if you or your parents haven't ever heard your doctor mention hemophilia, I doubt that you have it. If you did, you'd have been told to be extra careful to avoid falling when you were a child.

1) Scoliosis makes you appear shorter because your spine is curved, not straight.

2) Genetics. Look at your parents.

3) You need medical assistance as soon as possible. You cannot treat the condition yourself.

4) Knees and hips will be dysfunctional because scoliosis tilts your pelvis which makes one leg appear and feel longer than the other.

5) You do not have haemophelia (blood clotting disorder). A simple blood test would confirm this.

I SINCERELY HOPE YOU SEE A DOCTOR FOR YOUR SCOLIOSIS. THE DISORDER CAUSES A HUGE LIST OF HEALTH PROBLEMS IF IT IS NOT FIXED.

Have a talk to your Doctor about your problems.I am not to sure what answer you are looking for but could it be something like hemophilia?
