What are the simalarities in muscel enzime levels in the test for polymyosatis and hypoglyciemia?

I have been diagnosed with polymyosatis and treated for 3 years with steroids following a change in diet by the advice of a freind , questions have come to mind when I found that hypoglyceimia can affect the muscels and now that my diet has changed I feel much better and I am down to 10 mg off steroids instead of 30 I was up to 60 mg 8 mounths ago with a shot of 7, I am still on the shot, but the energy and the and the normalcy of life is overwhelming , the head aches were constant for 1 1/2 years and they nwould just increase the steroids again , now I only have a head ache when I go for 3 to 4 hours without a snack , so I don't , what are the chances that the test are close enough that I might not actually have poly myositis but am just a extreme hypoglyceimic ?????????

No similarities at all. The tests that would be done to diagnose polymyositis and hypoglycemia are completely different. If the correct tests were done, it would be virtually impossible to confuse them.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if you are hypoglycemic now (although your doctors should be checking that whenever someone has their steroid dosages reduced so much). 60 mg of--I'm guessing--prednisone is pretty high to be on for an extended period of time. Your adrenal glands might have atrophied (your adrenals produce natural steroids--when you take steroid meds, the adrenals shut down because of a negative feedback loop). I'm not a rheumatologist, but I would have thought they would have tried switching you to something like methotrexate for long term management of the polymyositis. Steroids are the most effective treatment, but they have long term side effects. If possible, it is usually preferable to put patients with autoimmune disorders on immunosuppressive meds and save the steroids for short term use when they have a flare up. Of course, immunosuppressive meds like methotrexate also have side effects. Every patient is different. For some, the immunosuppressant side effects are worse than the steroid side effects. It becomes a "lesser of two evils" choice.

You might suffer anxiety or migraine because of substances intaken. If you care for some fun in the near future we suggest olives and milk be taken at night. It wont provide much protein but i tell you it is enough for the night. If you will exercise or go to a gym for two months you shall feel so much better because of the effort building the body you will need in future events. There are forteen types of enzimes dealing with polymyotasis and hypoglicemia, and two others dealing directly with the latter only. They support liver activities and add to stamina at night. They all should remain in body for four days until processed as glucose and blift triglycerids, mostly on hunger. You will suffer headache the next three years until you actually intake chromium picolinate and garlic pills. These are enzimes and hormones that recover the liver from trauma and large intakes of abbusive substances like demerol. Continue with steroids and you can take more, only make sure these are provided in the morning and they are the same brand so you wont have hipoglucemia by lunch, and have some honey at breakfast (not syrup). If dizzy take some "u帽a de gato" or aspirin with alka seltzer flu. Have too some food with steroids so you can grow some muscle. Do not effort your gonads or they will not grow accordingly. I dont think you have low levels of tsh because I believe you are a conscious person, also dont believe you have polymyosatis but accute hyperglicemia, you sound truthful. Eat well, earn some pounds and go easy on white sugar. You should be healthy with intake of honey as told. Go for olive oil, no doubt it is not tasty to some, yet it inhibits decay and sugar production in suprarenal glands. Bye.
