Myopia?????

What is the correction for this problem?
(the problem is myopia)

Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a refractive defect of the eye in which collimated light produces image focus in front of the retina when accommodation is relaxed.

Those with myopia typically can see nearby objects clearly but distant objects appear blurred. The opposite defect of myopia is hyperopia or "far-sightedness" or "long-sightedness" 鈥?this is where the cornea is too flat or the eye is too short.

Mainstream ophthalmologists and optometrists most commonly correct myopia through the use of corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses. It may also be corrected by refractive surgery, such as LASIK. The corrective lenses have a negative dioptric value (i.e. are concave) which compensates for the excessive positive diopters of the myopic eye.

Nearsightedness...hmm...very good...ok...this takes me back to the old idea that eating carrots is good for your eyes...grandma may have been right here essentially...carrots are high in beta carotene which is the antoxidant vitamin A in it's richest form...this vitamin is proved to reduce cellular degradation and to actually bring renewal in one if not some of its forms...I would suggest yes the glasses but as a plan of reconstruction taking vitamin A in the form of one Beta Carotene cap...@ 25000 IU being 500% % daily value once daily........here's what it says on the bottle:

*Beta Carotene is an antoxidant. It aids in the growth and repair of all body tissues. It is especially important to good vision and plays an important role in the health of skin, teeth, eyes and bones.

There's herbs which might be able to further along the process, but I would imagine these types of remedies are drug like in their nature and just used as a sort of temporary aid...I think nutrition is your answer here..
